Adjustment
The
preconditions for the calculation in PELOPS are specified here.
|
time increment |
It indicates the arithmetic
increment (unit: second) for the simulation. For all real vehicles the
time increment should not exceed 0.02 seconds for all real vehicles. With high
dynamics (e.g. full-throttle acceleration) an increment of 0.01 seconds is
recommended, since otherwise the drive train starts excessive oscillation
in the simulation. An increment of 0.1 seconds is normally sufficient for
all other applications. |
|
integration algorithm |
At the moment, only the Euler
Cauchy process can be chosen. |
|
abort condition |
An abort is possible after an expired time or distance traveled.
Additionally a simulation can be terminated after an accident. |
|
abort value |
Enter the distance or time after which the simulation is to be aborted. |
|
backup period |
The backup period specifies the increment as a percentage of the
simulation duration at which the data to be output written onto the hard
disk. If the memory area reserved by PELOPS is full or if an accident
occurs in the simulation the program carries out an additional backup. |
|
output interval |
The output interval determines after which simulation time the results
will be captured for an animation or results evaluation. Thus, only a
multiple of the time increment or the time increment itself is sensible as
an output interval. |
|
result file abbreviation |
The file abbreviation is required to assign the result data to the
simulation. Letters and numbers can be used at random here, though the
name may only be three characters long |
Note:
If you wish to simulate a scenario, which has already been simulated under
different marginal conditions you should change the result file abbreviation so
that the old result file is not overwritten.
