Interface

On this data sheet values are indicated, which are used for the vehicle and for the driver.

This refers to the entire gear changing time, the constituents of the gear changing time (declutching time and clutching time) and the clutching time when starting. For the determination of the gear points while free driving the gear shifting-rpm for upper and lower shifting is indicated. For starting you have to enter the initial speed. This specification is only for real vehicles important. For automatic vehicles the data of the interface are not relevant.

interface record Here you can select the type of driver: Cycle driver and full load driver.
gear changing time This is the time, which the driver needs to shift from one gear to the next.
declutching time This is the time, which the driver needs to declutch. Depending by his or her ability to react. Also the type of vehicle is relevant.
clutching time Time which the driver needs to clutch.
clutching time on gear chance The time, which the driver needs to clutch while gear changing.
initial speed Don't enter a low value, otherwise the engine could be strangled.
upper gear shifting-rpm This is the max. shifting-rpm, at which the gear is shifted up. Numbers smaller than 100 mean, that instead a fixed shifting-rpm, a shifting characteristic map is used ('gtab'x'.data').  An example is shown above.
lower gear shifting-rpm This is the minimum rpm, at which a gear is shifted down. It is only used if no shifting characteristic map is indicated.
