Simulation window, Insert type
At the beginning of the track you can
select the insert type for the vehicle.
normal: When a vehicle
reaches the end of the track it will be inserted at the beginning of the
track again. The insert speed and the insert lane of the vehicle accord with
the speed and lane, the vehicle left the track with. The desired headway range of the corresponding
driver is determines the insert time .
microscopic: The vehicles are inserted according to the file

macroscopic: The file makein.data contains macroscopic minute values for the insert type of the vehicles, such as would be provided by a measuring loop. Individual vehicle data is calculated from these macroscopic minute values and the vehicles are inserted at the beginning of the track accordingly. The individual vehicle data then would result the mean macroscopic data again. Here the mean speed can be defined as a positive or negative value, too. In case of a negative value an adjustment of speed with respect to the traffic situation is done automatically. An example for a macroscopic insert file is shown here:

endless loop: The vehicles, which leave the track, respond to vehicles, which are re-inserted at the beginning of the track. This simulates a circular world since the end of the track apparently disembogues to its beginning. This insert type in general is just utilized to imitate a single point of the fundamental diagram.
