Solver
The button 'Solver' offers you the possibility to simulate your scenario by 'Terminal' or by 'Batch Mode'.
The Batch Mode permits a simulation in the background. After starting one or more calculation jobs in this mode you can log out without canceling the calculation process. When the process is completed, the user will be informed via mail. If you run the simulation by Batch Mode, PELOPS generates a log file named PELOPS.LOG, which contains all screen messages PELOPS displays in the simulation.

An online simulation is started with the button 'Terminal'. Different from the Batch Mode a terminal simulation is cancelled, if you close the respective window or log out. With <Ctrl> or <C> a simulation in the terminal can be aborted. All messages PELOPS displays directly on the screen.
